Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU)


The IMU is required for positioning the vehicle in the lane as well as for electronic stability control and other safety functions. To increase the functional safety for automated driving, two independent units are recommended.

Safety Domain Control Unit (SDCU)

Integration in SDCU or as standalone sensor cluster possible 
Offers high accuracy for automated driving 
Signal improvement via model based SW possible 
Scalable support of customer’s architecture due to several integration possibilities
