An off-axis oil pump is chosen because of efficiency improvement and shorter transmission length. The gear train is made up of three planetary gear sets (Ravigneaux, Single, Single), four clutches, and two brakes.
Newly developed torque converter utilizes a high damping system to realize low speed lock-up for direct feel. This torque converter is also designed with lower inertia for shift time improvement.
